Preparation for the Final Presentation
The final week we split up into small teams to wrap up our work.
Anne and Ian completed the final Flash scenario's audio, illustrations,
and programming. Bella both finalized the user research movies and
helped Ben with the final presentation flow. Ben's work on the presentation
and visualization of key concepts proved invaluable. Courtney developed
an AfterEffects piece depicting the current state of capturing and
sharing travel media and Fleming finalized our lo-fi prototyping
test research findings, and determined and oversaw the production
of assets to support our presentation.
Lo-Fi Interface Testing
For the final prototype, we tested six subjects who were unfamiliar
with the Sharespace system. The participants were given a task-based
protocol that led them through the system's capabilities. As the
participants were taped, we asked the users to use the Think Aloud
Protocol to talk through their interaction. After the tests we asked
each participant to discuss both their good and bad reactions to
our system as well as recommendations for further improvements.

Sharespace
Sharespace is a flexible touchscreen display that allows
travelers to exchange the digital media they capture during a trip.
The mat affords travelers with an collaborative setting to share
pictures, music and videos.

|
Triptotem
Triptotem is a memento that allows travelers to store the digital
media they exchange using the Sharespace mat. A traveler downloads
digital files captured on their video or digital cameras to the
triptotem. When they place the triptotem on the sharespace mat,
the digital files cascade along a personal workspace ready for sharing.
